Are the ones whose ideas

Were ahead of their time.

They were mocked mercilessly,

Felt like an outcast,

And were largely misunderstood 

By the very people 

They were trying to help.

To the degree you're willing to be 

   Laughed at

   Thought of as stupid, and

   Ridiculed for being different

Is the degree 

That you will be able

To truly change the world.

After all,

If your ideas

Incite no fire,

What capacity have they

To burn away illusion?
